The Editing Process

Editing
today lauren is doing the editing part of our video as we did not compleate it all yesterday.
we are rendering and exporting the video also.  lauren has been changing the volume in certain parts for example at the verry begining when callum is walking up the drive way towards the house where i am, the sound of the cars is to loud so lauren has lowered all of the volume so it is allot quieter and more relevant to the video itself. we are all sitting around lauren as she edits trying to learn from her doing this process of the film. as we have all realised we need to learn how to edit in the case of the event that lauren is not in or able to edit the videos at any point.

Video
over all i think that all of our work has run smoothly considering the sercumstances that we have faced that were no fault of our own. even though we had to film at night i believe this could be an advantage for our video, because the script says that callum has no time to see me because he is allways busy working and it would show that he had had a rough day at work then come to see me to resolve all of our problems with the relationship.

Team work
i believe that we have worked well as a team over all and we have all worked to our advantages
we did the best with the materials that we were given and over all for less than a week we have managed to get ahead in our work do more work than what is required of us and also film a small video clip and edit it witin lesson and free time to make sure it was finished within a reasonable amount of time. i think we all work well as a team because we all respect each other and realise that we all are good as a group because we all have advantages and things we can use so that in the end of all of the processing we will have a solid peice of work worthy of prase.

Close To the end

we have compleated all of the tasks that we have been set !
the only thing left for us now to do is the editing, however as things never run on course their have been a few problems however these have been disgussed with our teacher and all is well. hopefully we will have the whole of our video compleated by the end of the day if not at the latest tomorow.

we filmed all of our filming on friday night after a week and a half of waiting for the cameras but the main thing is that we all could do it on the friday. we spent a good two hours planning and rehersing then filming our shots. we decided to do them in blocks to save time and also used a load of different tools on the camera. the only problem is the camera quality is fuzzy and of a poor pixel level. this could let down our film as a whole. but we believe that the contineuity and the genneral effort we have put in is worth of prais due to all of the sercumstances that we faced during the filming and planning processes. 

Reaserch

the image above shows the emotions that we want to potray that callum is feeling about the situation going on with him and myself. i think this image shows allot of emotion for example it shows he is upset and feels as though he is at a dead end with the relationship making him unshure of how he feels anymore and wondering what would be best for both of them to do . it also will show the anger he is feeling at this point showing him that hannah is upset as well as him and he must go and speak to her. we want to potray all of these emotions when we are filming.

the picture above shows how we want myself to look in the fliming i need to look upset and angry yet confuzed, we need these emotions coming through in our piece to make the production a powerfull piece to view. we need all of the emotions to look real and well thaught out rarhter than us just filming for no reason.

this image is relevant as it shows how callum will look when he is walking down the street (hopefully it will be raining at this point !) if not the weather will still be dull and dark making it show the emotions of the specific charicters within the production.

the picture above shows the pair having a converation this shot is the one most relevant to us as we can use allot of camera work at this point and skills to show the emotion and feelings at this specific point .

this picture will be relevant as it shows callum giving me flowers to apologise and show his love for me before we sit down and talk about how we feel .

Strengths , weeknesses , Opportunities, Threats

Strengths
their are allot of different strengths in our production, for example, the venue.
we chose to use my house because their wouldnt be any complications with us asking for permition to use anything inside of it , for example props and rooms.
this has made filming allot easyer, also because evereything is in one place it makes it allot simpler for all of us and the fliming to take place as a whole.
Weaknesses
The only weaknesses that could occur at this point would be the continuity, but as this is a part of our production task and the main goal of doing this soot it will be easy for us to acomplish a well put together piece of material to use for our project. the editing may also let us down but if we all put time and effort into this part of the task it will be allot easyer for us to acieve a good grade in this subject.
Opportunities
Their are allot of oportunitys for us to produce a well thaught out piece of material and with our script and allot of time and effort put into what were going to produce. we think that with evereything we are given we will be able to do allot of good work with the filming and with the courswork that will go along side it.
Threats
Although we are using the cameras outside their is rain and this could be a posible threat, also i live on a main street and this would mean that at around 5 pm their will be allot of trafic, this could also be a possible threat to our filming and the production, with filming outside aswell the sound will effectivly be corrupted due to things occuring around us. this could be a possible threat to what we are filming and could not result well. but as we have planned and mannaged our time effectivly shooting should run smoothly.

Filming

Tonight we are doing our filming.
As the location is at my house we thaught it would be best if we did it withought lauren as she lives further away and their would be nothing realy for her to do.
we chose tonight as we thaught the weather would be dull and cloudy representing the mood and feelings of the charicters within the script.
we are fliming outside for one of our shots and this will be done imediatly when ge get in so it is not to dark with the cameras and lighting.
we are fliming from about 4 to 6 pm and this sohould give us enough time for all of the shots to be captured aproprieatly.

Script

this is our script for the production we are going to produce. we thaught that with the script having allot of emotion in it we deccided that it would be good to show acting skills and our practical skills in the task to. we are using me and callum to do the acting in the production because we decided it would be easyer as we wouldnt be relying on other people to do things for us or being let down at un predictable points in time. emma has kindly produced this for the group .

Planning The Continuity Task

during the holidays on wednesday the 27th of october. all members of the group apart from lauren as she could unfortuatly not make it had a production meeting at my house.  The plan was to get as much planned as we can so when we returned to school the following week we could get straight into the shooting of the project. We sat for a good 3 hours drawing up all of our rough ideas and jotting down things neccesary to what we were going to be doing with our time in lessons. we decided that instead of the work being put on one or two people that we would share it out equally so that each member of the group had a job to be getting on with and in time we would get the jobs we needed to do done quicker and to the best of our abilities. we made shure that all of the tasks given out were suited to evereyones specific needs and talents. for example emma has a good imagination so we gave her the task of writing up the script. We all decided that for the story line we would use for the production and decided who we would use as our actors. We decided to use myself and callum to act in the production we believe this will work out better in the end as we will not be relying on other people to come and do the job for us . we will be putting our own time and effort into it and the outcome may be allot better as it is for our own grades and not someone elses. In brief the story is about a relasionship between the two characters. i amworried about the relationship as i think we do not see each other enough. An arguement takes place and then callum comes round to my house to make an apology to try and make the relasionship work. the location that we are using is my house. we thaught about the various different locations of where we could set our different scenes but in the end as they were all filmed in a house we thaught that ti would be easyer to do it all in one place to save time . we also thaught it would be good as their are allot of props we can use and we dont need to ask permision to do anything.
